Automotive Battery Cable

Automotive Battery Cable can be used in a variety of applications and is supplied to a number of industries. Allied Wire and Cable offers SGT and STX/SGX battery cables. All automotive battery cable that we carry meets SAE J-1127, Ford, and Chrysler specifications. Our battery cable features bare copper conductors and is available in standard battery circuit black and red. Battery wire also comes in a variety of AWG sizes.

SGT Cable

SGT cable can be used in starter or battery ground circuits. It comes with Polyvinylchloride (PVC) insulation and can withstand temperatures of up to 105° C. Flex SGT wire is available with higher stranding.

STX/SGX Wire

STX wire or SGX wire can be used for automotive starters or battery grounds where resistance to abrasion, heat, and aging is needed. It has Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE) insulation and can withstand temperatures of up to 125° C. Contact your salesperson for any additional questions on all types of automotive battery cable.
