GPT Wire

GPT wire is a low-voltage automotive primary wire. Allied Wire and Cable carries GPT wire in sizes ranging from 8 AWG to 22 AWG. This wire features a stranded bare copper conductor and PVC insulation. It also has a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. GPT wire is a general-purpose automotive wire, as specified by SAE J-1128. It also meets the specifications to be used in Ford and Chrysler vehicles. Unlike other types of automotive primary wire, GPT is not designed to handle extended exposure to outdoor elements, so it is typically used for interior applications.
