Our THHN Wire is made up of Thermoplastic High Heat Nylon (THHN) and features PVC insulation and a nylon jacket. You can purchase THHN through our website in both solid conductor and stranded conductor. The bare copper conductor is available stranded for sizes 10AWG and larger and stranded or solid for gauges 14-10. This THHN wire is a very popular building wire because of its high voltage rating of 600V. The THHN wire jacket is abrasion resistant, making this wire suitable for dry and damp conditions. However, this wire's jacket releases toxic gases if it comes into contact with fire. Because of this, it is not suitable for use in outside or direct burial applications. This copper wire is also gasoline and oil-resistant. This building wire wire is also meant for use as general-purpose wiring for installation in conduit, cable tray, or other recognized raceway. It is suitable for installation as a building wire in most building codes set by the NEC. This wire is also suitable for use in machine tools, appliances, and control circuit wiring.
